Anti-squatting

Anti-squatting is a very cheap way of living, but provides very few rights. The main disadvantage is that you can be expelled from the house within a few weeks. An anti-squatting house is usually a building that is planned for demolition or renovation. Until that time, the owner welcomes anti-squatters in order to prevent the building from being occupied by squatters. The only way for you to be eligible for an anti-squatting house is if you have been introduced by someone who already occupies one. Make sure to be well informed about the conditions. If you rent via Ad Hoc, you have no right to rent protection.

You can also find living accommodationin a building destined for demolition via Houseshopping. This will provide you with temporary living space for approximately 1.5 years.

www.jongeren.vestia.nl also offers temporary living accommodation.
