Remission

Is your income low and don't you have any capital or possess anything valuable? Then you might be eligible for remission of municipal taxes. For more information: Use the links of the municipality of The Hague.

Dear office,
I am 64 years old and unemployed and my ex-wife filed for a divorce in secret on September 18, 2009 and on October 6, 2009 all my assests are frozen by a Dutch Judge who recently sent the Divorce materials in which is indicated that this freeze will continue until February 15, 2011. However the Gemeentelijke Belastingdienst demands their payments now. What should I do if one bureaucrat freeze the money however the other demands the money? Thanks for your time.

Jacob. Athough your question is pretty much off-topic (considering this is a juvenile housing information website) I would advise you to visit or contact het Juridisch Loket. They wil be able to advise you in person and get a little more in-depth in your specific case. You can call them on 0900-8020 (10ct/min) or go to their The Hague Office at Herengracht 7. Or visit their website at http://www.juridischloket.nl. Good luck!
